Last weekend’s Urban Art fund raiser event proved to be our best yet, and despite the weather forecasts not a spot of rain!
Record number of visitors, our regular exhibitors returned plus some amazing new talent signed up for this year. A big thank you goes out to all the residents who helped erect the fencing on Friday night, all those who volunteered on Saturday, and all those who helped clear up on Sunday evening. This event would not happen without you.
Final figures are still being added up but it looks like all four charity partners, JAG, Jubilee School, Holy Trinity School and Southside Rehabilitation project will have earned over 1,000 each, and will exceed last year’s donations.
The Street Art triangles and Train are now on display on Windrush Square until Monday. More good news is that it may well have found a home for the Train at the Street Art Birmingham event happening on the 6th September. The organisers have agreed to house it and if we can raise the funds next year we can bring it back to Josephine Avenue for another re–spray at Urban Art 2015.
A brilliant weekend and looking forward to Urban Art 2015 already. So make a date in your diary for 11th and 12th July next year.
