Police have release images of a number of men they would like to trace in connection with a mugging that happened in Leander Road early in the morning of Saturday 13th September.
The 24-year-old victim had been dropped off in Brixton Road at around 02:00hrs on Saturday morning. He then walked to Leander Road, via Effra Road and Josephine Avenue before three men knocked him to the ground and began assaulting him, before stealing his Tag Heuer watch, worth in excess of £1,400, that he had previously removed and put in his pocket.
It is believed that the suspects may have followed the victim from at least Effra Road before assaulting and robbing him.
- Suspect 1 is described as a black male, aged 18-25, about 5ft 10ins tall, slim build, wearing a dark baseball cap, dark jacket, dark jeans, black trainers and carrying a bag across his shoulders.
- Suspect 2 is described as a mixed race male, aged 18-25, about 5ft 7ins tall, slim build, wearing a black jacket , black jeans, black trainers and carrying rucksack type bag on his back. He has short black hair.
- Suspect 3 is described as a black male, aged 18-25, about 5ft 10ins tall, slim build, wearing dark grey hoodie top with the hood up, dark jeans and dark trainers.
Detectives from Lambeth CID are investigating and are keen to speak with anyone who was in the area at the time.
