Mango Landin’ hits the dust


    Sad to see the demise of one of our local pubs as Mango Landin (formerly The Hope) is reduced to rubble to be replaced by the probable ‘local’ supermarket and flats, with an added two floors height to the building. And not a single car parking space for residents or shoppers. Here is how it is described in the planning application 14/05197/FUL:

    Demolition of existing building and redevelopment to provide a part two, part three, part four storey mixed use development comprising (Class A1) retail use at ground floor level and nine (Class C3) residential flats and provision of private and communal amenity space and landscaping.
