Lambeth Cyclists invite you to join them on Saturday 31st August for a leisurely ride around some of London’s lidos, starting with Brockwell Park Lido. Bring swimming costume, Oyster card and bike!
The route starts at Brockwell Lido at 10:15am after which you will ride along the River Wandle to stop for lunch at Earlsfield. You will then take the train to Parliament Hill Lido, a Grade II listed ‘super-sized’ lido on Hampstead Heath, where you can enjoy the terrace and cafe, and hopefully a swim. Alternatively if the weather isn’t good the group will continue northwards to the mouth of the Wandle at Wandsworth Town. This ride should prove to be a fascinating trip around art deco London architecture.
Meet in the car park outside Brockwell Lido, Dulwich Road, London, SE24 0PA Saturday 31 August 2013 at 10:15 for 10:30 start. The ride will last all day. No need to confirm: just turn up. Bring your Oyster, a snack, and swimming gear.
If you have any questions please contact ride organiser Geraldine at ger1ldine@yahoo.co.uk or ring/text 07739 232598.
