Re: Proposed temporary Play Street Road Closure Order
I am writing to inform you that I am in the process of applying for a Temporary Traffic Management Order for a Play street event on the following road(s):
Leander Road (numbers 1 to 50 only).
This closure order would be valid until May 2014 and subject to Council approval. The closures would only take place at the following periods / times:
On Saturday afternoons from 3pm to 6pm.
Although, in practice, the play sessions are likely to be shorter than three hours. And are more likely to be at fortnightly intervals. The closed section of the road is likely to extend from Number 1 to Number 39.
The road will be fully closed to through traffic and points of closure will be marshalled. Residents will be allowed full access but are requested to drive at walking speed when within the closure area. It si not necessary to move parked vehicles from the street. Events will be under adult supervision and access will be maintained for emergency services at all times in all parts of the street(s).
