Just notice that a shop owned by Lambeth Council at number 34 Brixton Water Lane, London SW2, has come up for sale.
According to the Zoopla web site this was “Let to the ‘Family Friends Trust’ on a lease for a term of 21 years from 24/06/1990 at a current rent of £14,500 pa.”
However, according to Companies House, that company was dissolved 18th January 2005, which raises the questions of who has been using the building since then and who has been paying the rent? Why own on an empty shop for nine years?
