As agreed by residents at the last JAG Annual General Meeting, the pavement side of our hedges will now be professionally cut twice a year by an outside contractor.
This will be paid for by Open Arts Project, the non-profit company who organise the Urban Art event, in return for the use of the railings during the July fund raising event (this year’s charity partners will be Jubilee School, Holy Trinity School, Southside Rehabilitation project and The Anchor Group).
The first trim was carried out on Wednesday and the second will happen the week before the 11th-12th July art fair weekend. If you have any feedback on the work please let us know.
We will also be holding our regular Street Clean on Sunday 28th June (please make a note in your diary). Perhaps residents might like to tackle the tops of some of the hedges which are getting too tall. These block out light in the evenings, create dark corners and generally make the street less safe, especially at night.
