The Sunday night storm brought down a tree outside number 13 Josephine Avenue. Mercifully nobody was hurt, although it has blocked vehicle access to Appach Road and pedestrian access on one side of the pavement. There are signs of rot to the trunk and also the large amount of ivy which grew over the tree are the probable reasons for it being so easily felled. Luckily for the owners there seems to be no damage to the railings. Maybe this is a wake up call to all residents to look after our trees better?
