On Wednesday 17 April, from 06:00, the bus routes 3 and 133 will be curtailed and on diversion. This is due to road closures as a result of Baroness Thatcher’s funeral.
The funeral procession will run from The Palace of Westminster to St. Paul’s Cathedral via Whitehall, the Strand and Fleet Street. Roads in and around the area, as well as Blackfriars and Westminster Bridges will be closed from 07:00. Road users are advised to avoid this part of central London throughout the day.
London Underground, DLR and London Overground services will run a normal service. Some stations along or near the route may get busy at certain times. London Underground will be accepting London Bus tickets on reasonable alternative routes. A number of Barclays Cycle Hire docking stations will be suspended.
