Brockwell Bat Walk 13th September

On Saturday 13th September, local wildlife enthusiasts are invited along to Brockwell Park to go searching for Brixton’s bats. The walk will be led by Doctor Iain Boulton who will provide an interesting and very well-informed insight in to the lives and habits of our nocturnal winged neighbours. The event is free but booking is essential (see below). Meet at the Ponds at 7:25pm.

Iain will bring bat detectors (highly sensitive high-frequency microphones and amplifiers) for everyone to use as you search for the bats of Brockwell Park as they begin to wake and set out for the night.

Children over seven years old are welcome, but no dogs. Anyone joining the walk is advised to wear sensible shoes and dress for the weather. For more information and to book your place on the walk email: thoare@lambeth.gov.uk
