Street Clean – Saturday 6th April

Do you like the idea of Josephine Avenue covered in wildflowers…

… loved by bees and butterflies? And what if every front garden had a sunflower?

Or maybe you’d like to save money by growing your own  vegetables? Did you know potatoes can be grown in a stack of old tyres? And rocket grows like a weed? And purple carrots can be grown easily in a container?

Or perhaps you’d like to tidy up your garden, the scruffy fence posts or the potholes outside your home?

    Saturday 6th April…

…is the spring gardening and street clean day. It will take place 10am to 4pm and will start in the morning outside number 2 Josephine Avenue.

Residents will be helped by the Lambeth Freshview Team and the Josephine Avenue Group to start a vegetable  growing project, make wildflower seed bombs, tidy up gardens and tree-pits and make planters. There will also be help with fence posts, pillars and those potholes!

Come out and meet your neighbours. Wear old clothes and we’ll provide gloves, gardening equipment, seeds and some small plants as well as a hot lunch, tea and homemade cakes. We look forward to seeing everyone for a sunny warm day!
