Herne Hill Forum have sent out notification recently of a series of Neighbourhood Plan meetings, which are taking place in different locations in Tulse Hill over the next few weeks. The second meeting is on Friday 20 Feb at St Matthew’s Tenant’s Hall, St Matthew’s Rd, SW2 1NH from 6-8pm (unfortunately JAG were given only two days notice on the first).
Everyone who has an interest in helping shape the Tulse Hill Neighbourhood Plan is very welcome. Neighbourhood Plans are a new initiative developed by a number of other areas which already contribute to a wider London plan drawn up by the Boroughs. It supposedly gives local people a say in how their areas are developed in terms of housing, business and green spaces, and is taken into consideration when planning applications are made by developers. So, if you have a view on how Tulse Hill should look in the future, you might want to go along to the meeting on Friday, or to the 2 remaining meetings, details of which are below.
Sat 14 March – James Wilson Coffee Shop, 357 Norwood Rd, SE27 9BQ (near Tulse Hill Station. 2-4pm
Thurs 19 March – Roupell Park Community Centre, Hyperion House, Upper Tulse Hill, SW2 1HZ. 2-4pm
